Implementation
The process of implementation begins with software configuration and installation, which allows the customer to begin testing in a controlled environment. Once all configuration settings and requirements have been agreed, a Dataflow engineer attends the customer premises to install the software.
During installation, company details and user profiles are set up to ensure the system is ready for use. At this stage, your engineer will also set up any custom documents or management reports that are needed in addition to the standard system set-up.
On completion of the installation, an Implementation and Training Consultant will carry out the fine tuning of the system as well as providing training on the operation of each module. Training is scheduled over a period of time suited to the customer; ensuring users have an understanding of the new system and encouraging user acceptance.
Data Migration
A range of import options are available within Dataflow for all static data, such as customer and supplier contacts, chart of accounts and transaction history. During the evaluation processes we will have also discussed the options available for extracting and migrating data from your old system. Your project manager will be on hand throughout to oversee any requirement for live data conversion once the system has gone live.
Going Live
During “go-live” we use both real and representative data to test the system, eliminating any concerns with the “switch-over” as, in essence, we are simply increasing the flow of data through a proven process. Once again, your Dataflow project manager and consultants will be on hand to provide any support during the initial days of the system running in the live environment.

“In our business, the key issue is to achieve or exceed the estimated Gross Margin on our projects. We need to focus on expected final cost of the project and spot any possible cost over-run as early as possible when we still have time to do something about it. It is disastrous to take too much profit too soon on a project and then be hit by a cost overrun at the end. You lose the profit you were expecting to make, and you have to write back some of the profit you have already taken. dataflow Project Accounting helps you avoid this”.
