I have installed dataflow on a new workstation, and can successfully connect to the server, however when I attempt to test the connection to dataflow, the following error is displayed:
Unknown database
Your username and password are not defined.
Ask your database administrator to setup an Interbase loginCheck that the Dataflow alias username entered in BDE Administrator is "SYSDBA" Also ensure when you test the login that the password is "masterkey".

Error while trying to open file, unknown win32 error.The server name path entered in the BDE Administrator must be incorrect. Check and try again.

I have added shortcuts to the Speed bar and re-arranged the columns within certain views, however when I log out and log back into dataflow, these settings have been lost. Why is this?
The user must have sufficient 'rights' on the workstation so that these settings can be saved to the registry. If in any doubt please consult with your internal IT department or contact the Dataflow Support Team.

The transaction date is defaulting to an American Style date format even though I have set this to English (UK) in the Regional Settings?
Under the General tab (in Regional Settings) there is a button 'Set default'. By clicking on this it displays the 'System Locale' settings, which will show as an American format. Change this!

I have a 10 user system licence, however I receive an error message informing me that I have exceeded the maximum number of users allowed when only 8 are logged in.
Ensure that all users are logged out of dataflow and then 'Stop' and 'Re-start' thedataflow service on the server. This will clear all logins and then enable the 10 licenced users to log in.

How can I backup my Interbase database?
If you are familiar with Interbase, then use the tasks within Server Manager to backup and/or restore the data. Alternatively you can request some simple batch files from Dataflow's Support Department. Please see the 'help' files associated with Interbase Server Manager for further information.
