The Ghana Revenue Authority chooses dataflow to keep the house in order

Up until 2010, paying taxes in Ghana could be quite an ordeal where several revenue agencies were operating autonomously. Four years ago Ghana Revenue Authority was created by merging domestic tax and customs operations, and integrating the Internal Revenue Services and VAT Service into the Domestic Tax Revenue Division of GRA.

To keep the house in order, dataflow financial systems have been chosen to replace the existing legacy software to be the hub of all receipt and expenditure operations.

The system also includes Debtor Management, Procurement and Creditor’s Management, Payment Voucher preparation and cheque writing, and the production of departmental P&L and Balance Sheets.

All management reports will be designed by the accounts users themselves using dataflow's Excel Add-in – a reporting module that dynamically integrates the two products together under the strict user access security inherent in dataflow.

Darius Mogtader, Managing Director of Dataflow UK, comments, “We are pleased to have been chosen as the preferred supplier which reflects the suitability of our products for both local and international market.”
